Après le visionnage de 4 288 films, 11 courts métrages seront présentés cette année en Compétition, issus des 12 pays suivants : l'Argentine, la Colombie, l'Espagne, les États-Unis, la France, la Hongrie, l'Indonésie, l'Islande, la Norvège, la Pologne, le Royaume-Uni et l'Ukraine. La Palme d'or du court métrage sera remise par le Jury présidé par Ildikó Enyedi le samedi 27 mai lors de la cérémonie du Palmarès du 76e Festival de Cannes.
