À partir demain, c’est le début des projections de la Sélection officielle mais aussi le lancement de douze jours de célébration. Voici le programme des événements qui jalonneront cette 70e édition.

De la cérémonie d’ouverture à celle du Palmarès, le dimanche 28 mai, toutes deux menées par Monica Bellucci, le Festival célèbrera sa 70e édition en multipliant les événements nouveaux et en invitant de nombreuses stars et personnalités.

PUBLICATION DE « CES ANNÉES-LA » (STOCK), le livre-anniversaire du Festival de Cannes, un recueil de témoignages inédits sur les expériences cannoises d’une soixantaine de journalistes français et étrangers.

Le soir de l’ouverture, en début de soirée et jusque tard dans la nuit, le Festival propose une WELCOME PARTY, destinées aux festivaliers et à la presse. La fête aura lieu sur la plage du Majestic ainsi qu’à l’Agora et sera illustrée musicalement par l’Orchestre Fantasy Live Experience et le DJ Daddy Ryton.

SYNOPSIS

Un jeune migrant se fait tirer dessus alors qu'il traverse illégalement la frontiere. Sous le coup de sa blessure, Aryan découvre qu'il a maintenant le pouvoir de léviter. Jeté dans un camp de réfugies, il s'en échappe avec l'aide du Dr Stern qui nourrit le projet d'exploiter son extraordinaire secret. Les deux hommes prennent la fuite en quete d'argent et de sécurité, poursuivis par le directeur du camp. Fasciné par l'incroyable don d'Aryan, Stern décide de tout miser sur un monde ou les miracles s'achetent. (forrás)

A 70. cannes-i fesztivál 2017. május 17. és május 28. között kerül megrendezésre a Cannes-i Kongresszusi és Fesztiválpalotában.

A jubileumi filmes seregszemle hivatalos plakátja tűzpiros és csillogó arany színekben pompázik, rajta az 1959-ben egy római teraszon életvidáman és felszabadultan táncoló 21 éves Claudia Cardinaleval.

2017-ben lesznek magyar alkotások a hivatalos válogatás versenyfilmjei között. A nagyjátékfilmek versenyébe hívták meg Mundruczó Kornél Jupiter holdja [5] című filmdrámáját, Merab Ninidze, Cserhalmi György, Balsai Móni és Jéger Zsombor főszereplésével. Az Un Certain Regard szekcióban mutatják be a szlovákiai születésű Kristóf György szlovák-magyar koprodukcióban, cseh és francia partnerekkel készült Out című alkotását, amelynek tervét 2015-ben a cannes-i Cinéfondation Műhelyében fejlesztettek. A Színház- és Filmművészeti Egyetem végzős hallgatójának, Szentpéteri Áronnak Láthatatlanul című vizsgafilmje bekerült a Cinéfondation válogatásába. (forrás)

Andy Warhol (1928-1987)

Artist, filmmaker, and producer Andrew Warhola Jr., or simply Andy Warhol, was a founding father of the pop art movement. The connection between creative expression, commercialism, and celebrity culture in the 1960s is explored in his works. Campbell's Soup Cans (1962) and Marilyn Diptych (1962) are two examples of his silkscreen paintings, while the experimental films Empire (1964) and Chelsea Girls (1966) and the Exploding Plastic Inevitable multimedia events are also well-known. Frank Stella (1936–2024)

A giant of post-war abstract art, Frank Stella (1936–2024) investigated the formal and narrative possibilities of geometry and color and the boundaries between painting and objecthood. Stella was born in Malden, MA in 1936. He attended Phillips Academy Andover, where he studied painting under Patrick Morgan, and Princeton University, where he studied history and painting under Stephen Greene and Willliam Seitz. In 1958, Stella moved to New York, rising to prominence in the early 1960s with his austere Black Paintings and innovative shaped canvases—his early work was included in a number of significant exhibitions that would come to define art of the postwar era, including Sixteen Americans at the Museum of Modern Art in 1959, Geometric Abstraction at the Whitney Museum of American Art in 1962, The Shaped Canvas and Systemic Painting at the Guggenheim in 1964 and 1966, respectively, and Structure of Color at the Whitney in 1971.

I’m a self confessed ocean and travel lover. About 9 years ago, I quit my corporate job in sales and marketing, I took the leap and chased a dream. I’ve now been on the tools (of the camera variety) since. I create both photo and video for brands in both travel and lifestyle spaces all over the world. But I’m also known to create for anyone with an interesting project too. From time to time I’ll even share some sponsored stuff here on the gram too. But I’m pretty picky with who I work with. In general, the rule for me is I gotta love the project or think others would really benefit from it if I’m going to share it here. I also run my own print/frame store @oceanfeelsco where people can have a piece of my art for their own space. So far, it’s been one of the most rewarding things I ever did. Knowing people from all over the world, enjoy my art enough to have it on their walls is just insane. I’m also looking to open a gallery in the future where people could come and visit. But more on that another day. I’m a father of 3 beautiful little girls and married to the girl of my dreams. We live in Sydney at the moment, but we love exploring new places and are in the process of changing a few things too. It’s been an absolute blast sharing my art here with you on Instagram and although social media is a wild place, it’s my hope that my work brings you a little peace. I also want to thank you for following me here. I can’t even start to believe this many choose to follow along! It’s truly humbling. Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002)

“I’m following a course that was chosen for me, following a pressing need to show that a woman can work on a monumental scale.” Niki de Saint Phalle “I accidentally stumbled across Niki de Saint Phalle’s exhibition in London, back in 1985. It may have been the commonality in name that drew me in, mixed with my interest in the arts, either way, her style and colourful artworks definitely ‘wowed’ me. Now, revisiting her work and life (online), I was saddened to learn that she passed away in 2002 (aged 72). l had no idea at the time, but this would have made her around 55 when I popped into that gallery. Amusing now, how (as a mere 21 year old then) I had wrongly presumed that the person behind these modernist and intriguing works was much younger.” (Nicky Jury)
